Two and a half years into Nanyang, and I've realised that the friends I've made this period of time fall into 3 big categories.

The first one are those that I've made not long ago, and we've been ever so close since then, and I definitely don't wish that these friendships will end like those in the next category.

Second category. Those I've forged really strong friendships in lower secondary, but now I've completely lost the connection I've had with them. Remembering how we used to be so close, confiding in each other about almost anything. And now, you've changed. So much, so drastically, that it's almost unbelievable. I want to ignore these changes, but as time passes they become more real than ever, and ignoring them is simply impossible. What happened to the you last year? Is it just cause of that event that changed you so much? Don't you know how many of us are disappointed in you? You've distanced from us so much, that I think it's impossible to get back the way we were last year.

Third category, those that have been close to me ever since lower secondary. These friendships that , fortunately, didn't turn out like those in the second category. Even though we might not meet each other often, I'm glad the connection between us is still there.

And fortunately, most of my current friends fall in either the first or third category. :D
