Monday 23 August

Had fun taking paparazzi photos of fellow sanba-ers during free period with my Dad's DSLR! Now I know why people like taking them! :D

YOG Volleyball Preliminaries at Toa Payoh Sports Hall after school with Tracy! The atmosphere in the hall was really good, but it went a bit crazy near the end of the girl's match (Eygpt VS USA) with students from schools screaming madly. Girl's match was definitely not as exciting as the guy's.

Gosh even when the guy volleyball-ers do their practice it's already freaking cool. Like can spike the ball until it rebounds darn near the ceiling? Crazy lah! And everytime there's a cool spike the audience will be like "Woahhhhhh~"

And gosh the match was simply awesome. Cuba VS Iran. And both sides were good! Just that Cuba won cause of that pro Number One. His serves and spikes and deathly man. Had lots of fun trying to take pictures of them jumping and spiking.

So proud of myself for taking this cool picture!

It's very, very amusing listening to Tracy's outbursts of comments during those cool spikes. Like sick/gay = OHMYSHIT DARN PRO. LOL. Weird use of words.

Quite sad that Iran didn't win, since they won the first set and they were good! Love it how when they get a point they'll start running around their side of the court in celebration!

By the time the match ended, both of us were dead tired already. Ate pepper lunch for dinner, and headed home. Took more than 100 photos that day. :D

Tuesday 24 August

Quite irritated with BSP exam. Like it's freaking unfair. Cause half of us were locked outside of the Lecture Theatre as we came from the back door and it wasn't unlock. So we were waiting for the teachers inside to unlock it for us. Turned out they did only minutes after the other half who went by the front door and already started the exam long ago. When those from the back door went in those from the front door already started scribbling, means they started way before us since we need at least 5-10min to read the sources given. And what's more pissing is the fact that everyone ended at the same time. WTF.

Plus a student who was from the bunch of students who came by the front door was allowed to continue writing when everyone has already handed in the paper. Moreover she's a Chinese pro person. What's this man.

Whatever, don't really care about how badly I'll do for BSP already. Other subjects are way more important to me than BSP.

Wednesday 25 August

Nothing much, just grateful that French controle is over. I remember being so irritated cause the teacher didn't start the exam when the lesson started, but started it like one hour after lessons started cause he wanted to give us time to revise. And I so desperately wanted to get over with it so I can empty my French-filled brain.

Thursday 26 August

YOG CLOSING CEREMONY!!!! :D

Met with Weiren ate Dhoby Ghaut MRT after school and went to have lunch at Manhattan Fish Market at Marina Square. First time eating and it's quite worth the money. Set Lunch at $9.90 or $11.90 (without taxes) which includes soup of the day and a DARN HUGE GLASS OF DRINK. Love the one I chose (but I can't remember the specific name). Fish in cream sauce with butter rice. :D But the drinks was, gosh, so much. Felt that I was taking forever to finish it. Oh but it's quite scary cause the restaurant was super empty (like we were the only customer?) as we had lunch at 3pm.

Walking along the stretch of path from City Hall MRT to Marina Square totally reminded me of SLC Amazing Race gosh. Walked to and fro that path don't know how many times that I got sick and tired of it haha. But that day, it just brought back memories.

Wanted to go inside the Floating Platform at 4.30pm but decided against it. It was scorching hot and there were hardly anyone yet (although doors opened at 4pm gosh). Walked around Marina Square then went in at 5.15pm.

Felt super.. weird (?) cause there were so many security and volunteers around both of us at the security check. And we were the only two at the bag check station then LOL.

Collected the goodie bag AND IT'S SO COOL! I'll definitely use the bag when I go out sometimes! Took a look at the merchandise stall and Lyo and Meryl was running out of stock. D: But everything there was freaking expensive so I didn't buy anything.

Went inside the floating platform, AND IT WAS FREAKING HOT LAH. Felt like I was being suntanned on one side of my face. Felt really grateful yet sorry to Weiren for giving me shade from most of the sunlight.

The 2hours wait for the ceremony start passed by unexpectedly quick. All I can remember was meeting really friendly Singaporeans who were willing to help look after our bags; the amusing and kinda lame emcees mic check that went something like "Mic check 1, check 1, check 2. HELLO MARINA BAYYYY~ You guys are REALLY EARLY TODAY. I know it's really hot, but imagine that it's COLDDD, AND IT'S SNOWING!"; bag getting jammed into someone's umbrella and she gave me a deathly stare D:; asking the volunteers quite a few times to help us take photos; wondering where to get batteries for our heart sticks; wondering if there's actually batteries in the hat (cause we couldn't see the light as the sunlight was so glaring); meeting a super friendly old man and his son/grandson who helped us take pictures too; exploring the goodie bag; finding Weihui and taking a picture with her; taking tons of pictures of the stage + flame as the sky was getting darker. Plan of mugging during the wait was totally abandoned cause of the freaking heat.

Closing ceremony was awesome. I love the first video screened which tells us the Dos and Don'ts of the ceremony, something like those cinemas where you have to switch off your phones etc. Except that they presented in a really funny way with darn cute animations. Regretted not videoing it. ):

Though we can't really see the performers since they were so tiny, like dots. But the screen was quite big for us to watch! I love the fact that during the speeches there will be a french and english screen, so I can read the french and listen to the speech in english. Quite cool really. And gosh the version of the National Anthemn being played was so dramatic compared to at school!

I really love the montage they played too. Super touching. And I want to know what song they played! Some of the songs they performed were really good too, especially the slow ones. Haha and the song that's like High School Musical, performed by a guy and girl both wearing white. Weiren was like, "So did they get together at the end?" And when the finale came I saw them coming up on stage together and was like, "Ooh see they got together!"

The fireworks were simply amazing. Didn't expect that there will be that much! I love the part where they released the helium doves and the background was playing a super touching song. Really sweet.

And the part where the athletes were on the stage was amusing! The way they all tried to squeeze into the camera! And there were some crazy people in front of the stage throwing everything they had up into the air. Stuffs like plastic bag, water bottle, the light ball inside the noise clapper thingo..

At the end of it, a huge human jam was created at the exit of the platform. So both of us decided to just stay until pretty much everyone has exited. Sang Everyone, listened to Weiren singing OMG, and feeling noob cause I didn't know most of the songs being played. ):

Went to the merchandise stall again after it, and was tempted by Weiren to buy something, but didn't in the end. BUT I REGRET IT NOW. ): I pinned the badge he helped me buy from Universal Studios on my pencil case, as I looked at it more, the more I regretted not buying a YOG badge to put on my pencil case. ):

Tried to look for Callie after the ceremony but failed. D: Hmph. The way home on the MRT was cool, seeing so many people holding the YOG closing ceremony goodie bag. Like for once everyone on the MRT has a common thing. Even when on the bus on my way home, I spotted two others carrying the bag too. :D Oh but going home that night was a bit scary. I don't know why. Probably because I took my bus from another bus stop as if I take from the interchange I have to wait for 25min, and the route to that bus stop is a bit, ulu. So was quite freaked out then. O: Was really relieved once I got home (at 11.30 xD).

Took more than 150 photos that night (all of them on facebook)! It was definitely an amazing, memorable night. :D

Friday 27 August

It was worth it feeling so dead in school that day! Highlight of this day was teacher's day concert rehearsal! Gosh love being up there in the control room. Was very lost and overwhelmed with all those equipments, but got used to it soon. Was quite stressed and crazy at times cause stuffs didn't go as expected. The walkie talkie-ing with backstage crew (Wanqing and Woonyee) and Miss Sabrina was darn cool!! It's a cool experience, but the responsibility up there is really huge that it's quite scary. Sincerely hope that there won't be major screw-ups on Tuesday.

And thanks to that day, I realised that I can actually survive without food until 7pm (plus there was PE that day). The feeling was horrible though, but having my favourite long-time-haven't-eaten food as my dinner that day was simply awesome.

Then I heard you say. I promise you, I'm always there. When your heart is filled with sorrow and despair.
