all izz well

Though I had to at least post on the last day of 2012, another rather eventful year in my rather short lifespan thus far.
The last day of 2012 was spent very simply. Nothing big, but that was all that matters. Found a nice cozy comfortable mugging place, and spent the whole afternoon doing holiday homework with the boy. Yea, it does sound like a complete no-lifer, cause most will be out party-ing, going crazy entering a brand new year. But really, what's the point of all the celebration? Not that I'm pessimistic about the new year; I just don't see how different I'll be on a 31st December and a 1st January. Spending it just like any typical student with her loved one was more than enough for me to end 2012 on a perfect note.
November/December holidays have been quite routine-ish for me. Crazily packed with labwork at NTU's cleantech one (some super ulu and new lab). And the first report draft was completed in 2 days after our last session! Super accomplished!
Christmas was spent rather crazily too. Decided to challenge the crowd and went down to orchard road in the night. MAD CRAZY HORRIFYINGLY PACKED LIKE SARDINES/BAKEDBEANS/TUNA/PEAS (just plunking in any can food I can think of LOL). Literally walking along the road as if there was some massively unorganised long queue at the end of Orchard. Lightings were so-so, in fact I only noticed them on the bus and maybe for the few minutes right after alighting. They really look like cny lights, all red and bright. o.O
GET WHAT I MEAN? LOL. You tell me this is cny or xmas hahahaa!
Rest of the time was spent looking at the crowd ahead of me, AND BEING REAL SCARED SOMEONE WILL START ATTACKING ME WITH FOAM SPRAY. It was like I was in this massive haunted house with people around me randomnly shaking their cans of foam spray. The sound itself just creeps me out. You know like how running man people are scared of the bells ringing? I'm terrified of the can shake sounds. D: Seriously, there were people getting massively attacked some totally covered with foam (which actually looks really like snow just that it smells queer). AND I DON'T WANT TO END UP LIKE THEM THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
Don't think I'll go down to Orchard ever during christmas. Even if I have a car, cause the jam for the poor cars on the road is equally mad. Worse thing is us pedestrians don't give a hoot about the vehicles when crossing the road so the traffic light seems to be forever flashing the green man light. Poor cars indeed.
I won't do any new year resolutions either cause I never ever remember them so that means no effect. Heh. Okay seeing the importance of 2013, maybe I should squeeze in one (as a timely reminder, though wait I doubt I'll read this again, OH WHATEVER HECK GRR).
BE MORE SELF-DISCIPLINED AND FOCUS.
And yes with many people my age fearing what is in stored for us, I shall end this post with a quote from the movie 3 Idiots which I just watched last night!
Rancho: That day I understood that this heart scares easily. You have to trick it, however big the problem is. Tell your heart, 'Pal, all izz well. All izz well.'
Raju: Does that solve the problem?
Rancho: No, but you gain courage to face it.
This scene really reminded me that most of the time, it's not our abilities that are inhibiting us, but the fear of failing, or losing something, etc, that's preventing us from reaching our potentials. (:
Last but not least,
Remember to be happy regardless of how much stress, pressure, workload is waiting for us. Despite A Levels at the end of it, I really do hope I will come out of 2013 as a more sensible, knowledgeable and most importantly, a
happier girl! All izz well! (:
