Went to D'Marissa Nails yesterday to do my virgin manicure and my very first time having my nails painted! A bit sian cause I can't use "I have never painted my nails" for Never Have I Ever le HAHA, used to always use it and almost all the girls will kena hehehehe!

The shop was quite small but the service there was awesome! The 老板娘 helped us with our nails, so it isn't like those commercialised large-scale manicure shops with lotsa helpers. She had to 亲自 open her shop for us, cause her shop is close on Sunday except for appointments!

Jinny went first cause her colour was decided pretty fast! Hers was a pale pink bottom layer and shatter silver on top! The shatter effect damn cool la the Chemistry behind it is amazing LOL. And the lady is SUPER GENEROUS! She gave Jinny four layers in total, 2 layers of pale pink and 2 layers of shatter.


I was up next hehe at least I was quite mentally prepared to expect what from watching Jinny! Was going for a light pink but not so light colour and fell in love with this Cherry Blossom colour from the OP Yokohama Collection!

While putting my hands on the dryer, cause it will auto switch off and you had to move a little to activate it again, somehow I moved too much (innate tendency I guess) and accidentally scrapped 2 nails against random surface. Felt so bad when she had to help me touch up, and my hands stayed stiff and frozen for the next few hours LOL.



Idk why it looks so different in these 2 pictures LOL but it's nicer real life! (: (less pinkish from the first pic and more pinkish from the second pic haha)

Anyway the lady gave me 3 coats, and she still charged each of us $10 for classic manicure. SUPER NICE LA! Outside will only do double layers and charge even more. Moreover, she will moisturise your hand and apply cuticle oil and do lotsa stuffs! And she's super efficient! 6 years of experience (Y)

Their express manicure is only $6, and she's even willing to give more discount if we have more people, which is mad la I'm like how she earn money like that since she's charging so much lower compared to outside. Will definitely go to her again if I need to paint my nails! (:

We had lunch after that, which was a nearby prata shop with damn nice and fluffy and crispy prata and BUTTER CHICKEN YUM


But the set was quite ex, 2 pratas + butter chicken for $7 sigh. And this was one of my most torturous meal, not cause it wasn't nice but cause of NAILS which wasn't fully dried. Semi scrapped a part of it on the edge of the fork ): So now I have random small parts of unevenness which isn't that obvious unless you look closely heh!
