JUNE 09 MALAYSIA TRIP

18 JUNE THURSDAY

sat on the car from 5.30 to about 12. slept most of the time cause i woke up freaking early at 4am. and slept really late the night before. went to a turtle sanctuary, the exhibit was closed cause it was lunch time. so we saw this shop nearby. and the owner is a lady, who has like 2 boys and 1 six month old baby girl. and she was born on christmas eve!! haha! and she had four kittens and three cats. and the kittens are damn damn cute! you can hold it in your palm! cause it's like only four months old. there's this pair of black and white kitten, both have blue eyes, really pretty! and the white one is not entirely white, it has very light brown strips. damn cute!! ^^

looked at the turtle exhibition. my first time seeing baby turtles i think. they are like super small and black, like insects. oh and there's those grown up turtles, very pretty! haha!

haiss i didn't take photos using my handphone, most pictures are in my dad's camera, and dunno why my computer can't read the memory card rawr. so in this post there will only be one pathetic picture.

then ate ice kacang in a road stall. and checked in the awana kijal shortly after. walked around hotel, and ate in a chinese restaurant near by for dinner. the food was nice! ^^ oh then after eating we walked around and i saw this shop with two groomed cats. and it's quite freaky the way the owner groomed them. like the tail is shaved all the way until there's a puff of fur at the end of the tail, and the face is shaved in such a way that the head seems like a puff of ball. and the rest of the body is just furless (is there such word). haha. damn funny.

19 JUNE FRIDAY

checked out of hotel and proceeded to kota bharu. on the way there, we ordered pineapple and durian juice from a road stall, but in the end they gave us apple and orange juice. so LOL lah!

checked in to renaissance hotel. apparently lee kuan yew stayed in the presidential suite of this hotle a week ago! and the presidential suite cost like RM 6300! the normal room cost RM 300. like freaking expensive lah. and there was tight security over there. the staff seems to like him haha!

walked around the shopping centre beside the hotel, but didn't get anything.

20 JUNE SATURDAY

drove to thai border. at first my parents were just curious and wanted to see how the thai border look like. then we went in! and they didn't even chop the passport! cause i think the people who cross the border are mostly traders and it'll be quite mafan to chop every passport just for trading.

had lunch in a nearby hotel. ordered this thai curry fish. and it was super spict. LIKE REALLY REALLY REALLY SPICY. a lot more spicier than kimchi. and according to the waitress it's spicer than tom yam o.O i almost died eating it okay. cause i had my morning flu that day, and eating the curry made my nose worse, my eyes were tearing, i could practically feel steam coming out of my nose and my mouth was burning. it's really spicy okay! but it's spicily nice. like the after taste is real spicy but when you first taste it it's really yummy! good thing we ordered pineapple fried rice. it saved me. and i drank like three cups of water and used four tissues haha. but the spicy dish helped my flu! i didn't have flu for the rest of the day! ^^

drove back to malaysia and went back to the hotel. walked to a cultural centre in kota bharu. and seriously we walked. like 4km! and it was sweltering hot, moreover i was wearing long jeans and black shirt, almost died. the spinning top thing is really cool! like each top weighs about 2kg, then a guy will throw it and another guy has to catch the top before it lands on the ground. if he suceeds the top will spin continuously for up to 2 hours!! it's quite dangerous though.

and there's this kite making thing. haha it kinda reminds me of yy. cause each kite is made by cutting really small bits of colour paper and carefully sticking these small bits on the kite for decoration. and the small bits are seriously small. like really really small. and they still have to cut and paste it.

went to a bigger shopping centre. they were having some malay sparring performance. kinda interesting haha! ate this four person chicken meal for dinner which was very worth it. like you pay RM 25.90 and you get four garlic bread, four drinks, four cream of mushroom soup, half a chicken, four rice, four chicken soup, one dish of mix veg and one dish of japanese tofu. like very worth it lah!! haha. we mananged to finish everything! ^^

21 JUNE SUNDAY

checked out of renaissance hotel. oh did i mentioned it's like the best hotel out of the rest? haha and it's the most expensive one lol. and the only hotel which doesn't provide buffet breakfast.

proceeded to pulau banding, in perak, it's an island surrounded by a manmade lake.

it's really cool lah! the u turn line you see is actually the road, and the bridges are connected to malaysia.

the resort has a very modern interior design but yet it really suits a rainforest resort. went for bamboo rafting in the late afternoon. it's damn damn fun!! love it! it looks like this:

took this pic from google too. it's really relaxing. and we were rafting in a lake. so when you taste the water, there's like no taste! and the water is really clean! haha! aiyah i really want to put the pic but this computer can't read the memory card and i don't know why! we rafted all the way to the middle of the huge lake. and i kinda got down to swim a bit. the staff said it's like a freaking 300m deep! that's almost like cutting the nanyang track and stretching the track vertically! so deep! o.O bamboo rafting is the love~!

then we had buffet dinner in the resort. usually we eat out, but this is the only resort and eating place in the island. so no choice had to eat there. quite ex, RM32. then at first i was happily eating salad, and this huge group of bikers came and they were each very big size. they finished ALL of the main course dishes. seriously ALL. like after they took their food, we went to look at the dishes and there was NOTHING but gravy. my mum and dad were quite irritated. moreover they took quite long to refill it haha. so i think i ate a lot of salad that day. even the orange juice was very diluted and it was more like orange water.

22 JUNE MONDAY

had buffet breakfast. the orange juice was not diluted fortuanately haha. had one hour of forest trekking. very very tiring! even though we walked only 2km in all, but there were slopes, narrow path, trees blocking the way, and lots of grass and plants covering the pavement. it's like some camp lor! and we had to walk very fast cause the staff accompanying us said there were some insects that eat human blood (i forgot the name rawr) was sweating like mad after it.

checked out of hotel and proceeded to ipoh. on the way we visited this archaeology museum. quite interesting! there was this perak man which i found it interesting haha.

checked into syuen hotel in ipoh. walked to ipoh hor fun stall! my favourite!! ipoh horfun is damn damn yummy lor!


from top to bottom. chicken, bean sprouts and horfun. it's really yummy! and the restaurant is always pack during dinner time. a must eat in ipoh! oh man looking at this picture makes me hungry.

went to ipoh parade. got a above knee length jeans at 70% discount! ^^ from RM79 to around RM23! haha!

23 JUNE TUESDAY

ate buffet breakfast. checked out of hotel and proceeded home. sat in the car from 10am to 7pm with a few toilet breaks and food breaks. freaky huh. spent most of the time sleeping, reading ugly and stoning. oh yah i finished change of heart already! not bad! it's quite sad at the end though.

it's nice to be back home! i miss my computer and piano. haha. like really badly. i think i put on a lot of weight lor. rawr. like all those buffet breakfast, and plus the car jouney, eat so much and never move at all. rawr. and great now trainings are cancelled. it's really irritating how others complain about trainings that it's tiring and all that and say that they want to pon it. like wth. obviously it'll be tiring. and i don't even get to train at all. not only am i getting fatter, my skills are deteriorating. be grateful that your skills are maintained lahs! okay i don't know if i'm making sense here.

haha i suddenly feel like recording the piano of 罗志祥's 爱转角. weird huh.
