graces shopping!

Philosophy is getting on my nerves, GAHH like I feel that there's something wrong with the sentence/paragraph but I don't know how to explain what's wrong. So I shall take a break and blog about yesterday.
Yesterday I woke up super duper early, unlike any other Saturdays just to empty my bladder and drink tons and tons of water so I'll pass my urine re-test. Cause my first urine test contained a bit too much protein and needa re-test. T.T Drank so much water until I filled the urine container thingo to the brim, and the counter person at the clinic was like "Don't need so much urine luh!"
Went to Jurong Point at 10am to meet up with Shichun, and was irritated cause 90% of the shops were still close, so we ate Subway to wait for them to open. Started our shopping spree at 11am!
First half of shopping was mostly, not liking the dresses displayed, and was just browsing through them real fast. First dress I tried on was a tube LOL. Since it's quite fun to try on as many dresses for fun! Tube felt, as uncomfortable as I expected, surprisingly it didn't drop down LOL. But no, I'm not wearing a tube cause I just don't feel secure in it, though I must say tube looks quite nice on some people.
Then saw Yeewin shopping with her mum for ethnic costume haha! She was totally groaning and moaning about the stuffs the shopkeeper and her mum wants her to try out. So ironic that it's her mum forcing her to buy stuffs and most people just go out with their friends!
Tried out quite a number of dresses, took pictures of them, but couldn't really find one to my liking at first. There was one that I quite like, quite tight fitting and conservative, except it's white and white somehow don't look quite good with my skin colour.
Then saw another dress, something like spaghetti straps but the straps are quite thick, it's turquoise blue colour, tight fitting too. Really wanted to buy that but it't quite expensive.. $48, and it's the type of dress you can only wear once. Like it would be weird if I wear that dress again for Graduation Dinner cause that dress really stands out, plus it's the type you can only wear for wedding/formal dinners. Though it's really nice and formal and pretty, but didn't buy it in the end.
The more I look at the picture of me wearing the dress the more I regret not buying it! T.T
So then went to this shop and a type of dress caught my eye. No idea what's the name of it, but it's quite conservative type but yet makes me look quite smart in it. But it was frigging expensive luh, $49.90, and the shopkeeper was persuading me how worth it it was, that no other places will sell something a lower price. YEA RIGHT. The quality of the dress isn't good at all, super super thin. And she was saying how thin stuffs are actually mroe expensive. DIAO LUH.
Then they were also cui-ing Shichun to get a tube dress. It looks quite nice on her! But DAMN EXPENSIVE ALSO. Walao that shop totally mark up price one lor. Shop name is called Audrie or something not very sure.
Walked around more, and I saw a similar dress in that Audrie shop I like in Fashion Lab! And it's way cheaper! $39 before discount and $27 after discount! And it's a nice shade of light blue, can match with belt and necklace quite nicely! So I bought it! Though it's quite casual, and I'm kinda afraid that everyone buys those super formal dress (like the $48 dress I'm starting to regret not buying) but thinking on the brighter side I can wear it out quite often!
Bought the dress at around 3pm? Then came the fun part! Shopping for heels and accessories! Cause shopping for dress is seriously super problematic luh! All the which-dress-to-buy questions. Then once you settle it it's just the matching part left!
Got a necklace and a belt, both for $7, cause it's like 1 for $5, buy 2 get 1 free, split cost with Shichun. And got a headband for $3.90, quite expensive T.T but it matches well with my dress.
And I love my heels! Was getting frustrated with shopping for heels cause there were so many nice silver strappy heels except they were FREAKING expensive, like $50 to $90? Crazy luh! But got this really pretty heel from Vana at $24.95! 3.5 inches tall! And surprisingly I can walk relatively okay with it. Love my heels gosh!
In all I'm quite happy with my graces outfit! So yay for yesterday's super productive shopping! Although at the end both of us were really tired from all the walking, calves and ankles super suan.
So here's my expenditure list for graces!
Ethnic costume - $25
Dress - $27.30
Heels - $24.95
Headband - $3.90
Accessories (necklace + belt) - $7
Pouch - $2.25
Total: $90.40
Not bad I guess! Around $90! For make up I'll be borrowing from my mum I guess! Though she has to dig them out LOL.
Now back to chionging this weekend's work. T.T
